Halogen Oven Care and Cleaning
- Remember, a halogen oven is not like a microwave. Only use dishes that you would use in a conventional oven. Pyrex and metal are fine, but if you're heating up a ready meal from a supermarket, make sure the container is suitable for use in a standard oven!
- Take care of the lid of your halogen oven. This is where all the functionality is. Be warned that the lid is heavy and can get hot. We recommend buying a lid holder to keep your lid safe when the oven is open.
- Halogen ovens are self-cleaning, but you can help keep your oven in tip-top condition by giving it the occasional scrub. Wait for the oven to cool down before cleaning! Put a couple of inches of warm water in the bottom of your halogen oven and start the self-cleaning cycle - this is more than enough to clean the oven, and will prevent water spilling over the sides during the cleaning process
- You can also pop your halogen oven bowl in the dishwasher every now and again to give it that extra clean.
- The top of your halogen oven can get stained with splashes from food, so it's a good idea to give this a clean now and again to keep your oven looking pristine.
